About Foxhangers
A small family-run basin and canalside moorings at the foot of the Caen Hill locks on the Kennet & Avon Canal, alongside a narrowboat hire base.
Foxhangers is at the bottom of the Caen Hill flight, about two miles west of Devizes, reached by a private road through farmland. The family business also runs narrowboat holidays, a campsite and boat building from the site.
The small offline basin, rebuilt in summer 2026, has berths with individual electric supplies, most of them on new pontoons; it cannot take boats wider than 7ft. A run of piled canalside moorings with water and electric, where you can park beside the boat, suits widebeams.
Berths are charged per berth, with electricity at cost and a pre-booked pump-out at the wharf. Moorers can use the campsite toilets and showers, and servicing and repairs are available on site. The tariff list is sent on request.
