About Thames and Kennet Marina
A Tingdene marina in the Caversham Lakes nature reserve on the Thames just east of Reading, with a separate basin for narrowboats over 70ft.
The marina is set in lakes off the Thames on the eastern edge of Reading, close to the junction with the Kennet and Avon Canal. It takes cruisers, narrowboats, widebeams, day boats and Dutch barges, and has a purpose-built narrowboat basin able to take boats over 70ft.
Berths are charged per metre of overall length including davits, bowsprits and platforms, with a 5m minimum. Cruisers, widebeams and barges, and narrowboats each have their own rate. Visitor berths include electricity and can be booked by the day or week.
The web page describes the marina as suited to liveaboards and commuters, while the 2026/27 tariff terms say residential use is not permitted, so this should be checked with the office. There is a bar and cafe on site.
