About Penzance Harbour
A council-run working harbour on Mount's Bay with up to 240 drying moorings for recreational boats and a gated wet dock where visiting yachts can lie afloat.
Penzance Harbour is run by Cornwall Council and serves the Isles of Scilly ferry and freight service as well as fishing boats. Recreational craft use up to 240 drying moorings in the outer harbour, and around 30 visiting yachts can be berthed in the wet dock.
The wet dock is entered through a tidal gate that opens from two hours before to one hour after high water; berths there have water and electricity hook-ups. Diesel is sold at the inner harbour entrance around high water, and there are coin-operated showers and toilets below the harbour office, a public slipway and winter boat storage for mooring holders on the Maritime Car Park.
The harbour keeps a waiting list for moorings, applied for through the harbour office. Mooring charges are not published on the harbour page.
