Maldon District Council administers public half tide moorings on the south side of the River Blackwater, from Maldon to St Lawrence.

The council accepts applications for Blackwater moorings. Its mooring information says the moorings dry out at low water and that some deep water moorings are available.

Annual charges are published by boat length, with a separate mooring registration fee. The council does not permit residential moorings in the Maldon area.
