About Gillingham Marina
A Medway marina in Gillingham Reach with a locked basin where boats stay afloat and a cheaper tidal basin where they settle on soft mud, plus a boatyard with 64-tonne and 20-tonne hoists.
Gillingham Marina is on the south bank of the River Medway about eight miles from Sheerness, just downstream of Chatham Historic Dockyard. It has two basins.
The locked basin keeps boats afloat at all states of the tide and takes boats up to 23m, with access through a manned lock for about four and a half hours either side of high water. The tidal basin, open about two hours either side of high water, has boats resting on soft mud at low water and is priced lower. Both have water and electricity.
Ashore there are showers, laundry, a chandlery, diesel and petrol, gas, a pump-out, WiFi, 24-hour security, a bar and restaurant, a leisure club, storage ashore and an engineering workshop with 64-tonne and 20-tonne hoists. Berthing fees include tap water, parking for two cars and storage for one tender.
